PLASTIC ASHES

Plastic Ashes is a Los Angeles music-based performance collective, incorporating dance, visual art, theater forms and ritual into storytelling. Work includes live theater, film score, video, and community artistic engagement.

The Ballad of Isolde

Plastic Ashes’ current performance project is The Ballad of Isolde—part concert, part fever dream, a collision of original music, movement, masks, and projection. At its heart is a mother and daughter, trapped in a primal struggle between attachment and freedom, escaping into a fantastical world of coyotes, shadow selves, and transformational fire. The Ballad of Isolde premiered in 2025-26, with sold-out Los Angeles performances at MiViDa in Frogtown and Lodge Room.

The ensemble is currently recording songs from the performance, working toward a spring 2027 release of the soundtrack, and developing an expanded full theatrical production slated for Winter 2027. If you would like to help bring the next incarnation of Isolde to life, please visit the Plastic Ashes fundraising page.
